# Maintaining Image Quality in AI Image Editing

## Managing Generation Noise

When performing multiple consecutive edits on a single image, digital noise or artifacts may become noticeable from the 5th generation onward. This degradation is an inherent characteristic of iterative AI processing rather than a platform defect.

To maintain pristine image quality, apply these workflow practices:

* Restrict consecutive modifications on a single image file to 3 or 4 iterations.
* **The Re-upload Reset:** If you need to refine an image beyond 4 edits, download your latest result and upload it back to ArchiX as a brand-new base image. This resets the processing chain and prevents noise accumulation.
