Request Types: Retexture/Retain

Two request types: Retexture, which changes the texture of a material, and Retain, which protects the parts you don't want changed.

Retexture

Specify "the element whose material you want to change" + "the new material or texture." Example: living room floor → oak flooring. Use it when you want to change the texture of materials such as flooring or wall finishes. You can also attach a reference image to show the texture you want.

Retexture: the sofa is marked, the new material is entered, and the sofa becomes cognac leather

Retain

Specify "elements that shouldn't change" so the AI doesn't alter their design or shape when you edit other areas. Example: Retain the shape of the ceiling.

Retain: the sofa, table and rug are kept while the rest of the room changes

💡 Tip: When you edit several areas at once, setting Retain on the parts you don't want changed helps prevent unintended changes.
